Haley Mellin
Artist and Co-Founder of MOCA LA Environmental Council

Haley Mellin (b. 1979, Kentfield, California) lives and works in San Francisco. Recent exhibitions include The Journal, New York (2020); Alexander Berggruen, New York (2020); F Houston, Texas (2020); Shoulder, Los Angeles (2018); MoMA Ps1, New York (2016); Bischoff Projects, Germany (2016); Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens, Belgium (2015); and Museo Pino Pascali, Italy (2104). She attended the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program and received a Rhizome commission from the New Museum, New York. Mellin founded Art into Acres, a not-for-profit that supports the art community in having a permanent impact on wildlands. The initiative conserves large-scale landscapes with a focus on climate and biodiversity, supporting the conservation of millions of acres of new protected terrestrial areas on behalf of artists and institutions. She co-founded the Environmental Council at The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles in 2020.
