Ellen Langan

Co-Founder of Art to Zero

Ellen Langan is an independent consultant and curator based in New York City. Along with fellow visual arts professionals Charlotte Perrottey and Zach Miner,  she founded Art to Zero in 2019. From 2006 to 2017, Ellen was a gallery director at Maccarone New York.  Ellen also serves as Co-Chair of Artadia’s Ambassadors Council and on New York Consolidated’s Founding Circle. She holds a Masters Degree in Art History.

Art to Zero is a New York City-based organization dedicated to accelerating a just transition to a net-zero emissions future for the visual arts.  Art to Zero builds capacity for arts organizations of all types and sizes, both commercial and non-commercial actors, to take action on climate. By engaging directly with organizations to develop and implement climate action plans, providing access to helpful tools and resources for embedding environmental sustainability, Art to Zero creates opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing, facilitating education and innovation through partnerships with climate experts and practitioners.
